Complaint - Consumer Purchase Act of 21 June No. 34 2002

The complaint deadline for goods that the buyer has taken over is two years, unless the goods are intended to last significantly longer, then the deadline is five years. If there is a delay in the delivery of the goods, claims must be made to the seller within a reasonable time after the delivery time has passed and the goods have not been delivered. It is also possible to advertise directly to the creditor (credit card company) if the item has been paid for by credit card. Notification of a complaint should be sent in writing, either by e-mail, fax or letter, to the seller or creditor.

If there is a defect in the goods, the buyer must notify the seller to claim the defect within a reasonable time after it was discovered. The deadline for reporting the defect can never be shorter than two months from the time the buyer discovered the defect. If there is a defect in the item and the consumer has complained within the mentioned deadlines, the consumer can apply one of the following defect rights.

  • Request a full refund of the product, including return shipping
  • Request a repair of the product you have purchased, as this may be a unique product
  • Request a similar product at the same price

If the customer, on his own initiative, takes measures to remedy the deficiency beyond what may have been agreed with Greenphones, Greenphones does not cover the costs for this.
